There is always something going on in Lazise

Lazise is one of the most famous places on Lake Garda. Surrounded by medieval city walls, the small streets are bustling with activity. In the center and on the lake promenade there are many bars, pizzerias, restaurants, shops and of course ice cream parlors with delicious Italian Gelato.

During weekends, even out of season and in winter, many Italians from Verona come to Lazise to shop or take a walk on Lake Garda.

Venetian customs

The small harbor where the “Dogana Veneta” is located is also idyllic. The old customs office in the Venetian architectural style is directly adjacent to the small Romanesque church of San Nicolo, where Protestant services are held in the summer.

By bike around Lazise

From Lazise you can cycle north to Garda or south to Peschiera del Garda on safe cycle paths. If you like, you can also walk along the lakeside promenade.
From Lazise you can also easily take bike trips into the quieter hinterland of Lake Garda via many small and quiet roads.

Exploring Lake Garda on a Vespa

It's also fun to rent a Vespa scooter. There is a Vespa and bicycle rental just a few minutes' walk from our Residence "Sole del Garda". Of course there are also e-bikes and even motorcycles and cars. Another highlight is the Ape Calassino, the well-known vintage three-wheeler from Piaggio.

Sandy beach and aperitivo

Incidentally, Lazise is the only place on Lake Garda that has a sandy beach. It is just a few minutes' walk from the center. There are cool beach bars and plenty of Aperol Spritz or Cappuccino.

Events in Lazise

There are creative, musical and gastronomic events in Lazise all year round. Craft markets, exhibitions and traditional local festivals. There are also events in the surrounding districts of Lazise, such as “stargazing” in August in Colà di Lazise. The honey fair in autumn is also worth seeing.

Excursions from Lazise

The municipality of Lazise is located in the southeast of Lake Garda, between Peschiera del Garda and Bardolino. The most famous wine-growing region on Lake Garda. A trip with wine tasting in the surrounding wine cellars is worthwhile.

You can also quickly get to Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet. Or you can easily get to almost any other place around Lake Garda by public boat.

The old town is car-free, but there are enough parking spaces nearby.

The weekly market takes place every Wednesday morning directly on the promenade of Lake Garda.
